At 16:20 on September 6, 2024, Typhoon Capricorn, a Category 17 typhoon, made landfall off the coast of Wenchang, Hainan. When landing, the maximum wind force near the center reached about 62 m/s, and the minimum pressure at the center was about 915 hPa. This is the first time the newly built Hainan commercial space launch site has faced such a powerful typhoon in less than a year.
However, despite the many effects of Typhoon Capricorn, the main structure of the Hainan Wenchang Cosmodrome remained intact, and the main structure of the two launch stations was not damaged. In the aftermath of the typhoon, the aerospace work platforms were able to resume work quickly, minimizing the adverse effects of the typhoon.

This Typhoon Capricorn was a test of nature for humanity and a big test for XTD Steel's products.
